Funny Print

I recently purchased a printer and overall I’m very happy with both the device and the app — it’s generally easy and convenient to use. However, I’ve started experiencing an issue lately: the “Print” button has stopped working. It’s placed very close to the “Save” button, and both are quite small, which already makes it a bit inconvenient. But now the main problem is that the “Print” button simply doesn’t respond at all. At first, I thought it might be an issue with my phone, but we installed the app on another device and experienced the exact same problem. Everything worked fine before, so this seems to be a recent issue, possibly after an update. I’d really appreciate it if you could look into this and fix it. Also, I’d like to suggest an improvement: when copying text into the app, it would be very helpful if it could retain the original formatting (such as fonts, styles, etc.), instead of pasting as plain text that needs to be edited again within the app.

I got one of their mini printers for Christmas, and it’s been really fun to print stuff like family photos, memes, reminders, labels, funny pictures, etc. I like to print funny stuff and stick them around the house or on family members backs lol. I see how this could be good for companies printing their logos and or for packages. I think this is a fun gift for kids (like me) and also adults who like to be organized (printing labels) or funny stuff or printing family photos for the fridge or a bumper sticker or whatever. I think all the bad reviews are lies or they don’t relate to me, because this app and the printer work perfectly fine for me and is easy and fun to use. Buy their printer! :)

I received my thermal printer as a gift back in April/May 2024, and the little pamphlet they included told me to download Funny Print, and so I did. Every day that has passed since then, I keep finding new content to print, including stuff that one would expect from the old Game Boy Printer. Image quality is not the greatest (a limitation of the printer, not the software), but it’s also not the worst quality; it does quite well enough for what I need. The text is pretty sharp with minimal aliasing, which I think is surprising for a printer with such low resolution (1 dpi). One of my favorite, most frequently used features is the ability to print from documents - like PDFs - that are stored on phones and iPads. Since there currently isn’t a way that I know of to print with custom fonts directly from within Funny Print, what I have been doing is using my desktop office suite to create PDFs using the fonts that I have on my computer, and then sending the PDFs to my phone for printing using Funny Print. I do hope that these document printing features will never be removed from Funny Print. One neat feature that I accidentally discovered is that you can tell the printer to print a self test page by double clicking the power button. This will print out a couple test patterns, the Bluetooth address, and the battery percentage.
