FreeFlight Mini

I have the Parrot Mambo and flypad. I used to fly regularly with my Samsung Galaxy S6 edge + with no issue. Drone would connect to the phone through this app and the flypad would connect after that. The drone would fly smooth and the controls were quick and responsive. The app was not perfect, there were glitches here and there but nothing that would affect the flying experience. After getting an iPhone 11 and updating the drone and app I was disappointed to find that the connection with the drone was spotty. The controls were choppy and not as responsive as before. I am not sure if it is the difference between iPhone and Samsung bluetooth connections or the updated app. I hope they can fix this, I really enjoy the easy of flying parrot mini drones.

I love the drone and love the app. As an app developer I can only imagine how much work was put into making this product function as well as it does. My only complaint is that the app is near unusable on an iPhone X. Luckily updating your constraints should be pretty easy. Just select “Use Safe Areas” on your storyboard files in Xcode and do a quick run through to make sure everything is kosher. I don’t imagine you’d have to really adjust much after that.

The drone app works great for the most part. I have been trying to communicate with the company about some of the details that need to worked out. This is not easy. I email them they respond with an email that says call please. I finally get the to communicate through email and the don't read them. They just send canned responses that guess what the email is about based on a few of the words in the email. I need to be able to rotate the phone when it's mounted to the flypad. The camera orientation is to close to my hand and I want to use third party lens when recording. This app could easily be a five star if they just had better service.
