Fantastic!

I absolutely love the F45 Training app! It truly has everything you need as a member to support your fitness and wellness journey. I love that it provides education about the workouts, making it easy to understand and maximize each session. Booking classes and even passport workouts is so simple and convenient right through the app. Beyond scheduling, the app includes valuable resources on nutrition and everything F45 has to offer, which really helps me stay on track with my lifestyle goals. I also love being able to see my Lionheart and performance results right in the app and track my progress over time. All of these features work seamlessly together to help me manage my wellness, fitness, and overall lifestyle in one place. F45 thought of everything with this app and I could not imagine my journey without it!

Solid appointment system

Overall great experience, but for a customer like me who has a 2x/week subscription, it would be great if the experience helped me plan out my sessions to know how many I have left, and if I’m on track to spend them by the monthly cut off. This came as a frustration when I was surprised a class I booked ended up being an additional class I had to pay for outside my 8x/months. It’s be very simple for this static attribute to be surfaced in the UI and the basic arithmetic applied to help me plan against my week over week utilization.

This is the 3rd time they have changed the app

1. This is the 3rd time we have had a new app. Glofox, then Mindbody, and now this. And each migration has it’s own little caveat. For each one I’ve had to create a new account and it magically “links” to the old one but this is not stated anywhere and my gym and I waste time trying to do password resets. 2. DO NOT hit “Allow Access” for calendar permissions. They will be able to read and write to any of your invests. I have a lot of private calendar events. The Glofox app did this correctly and only asked for”add events only”, so why do these new ones insist on asking more from my data? This is unnecessary and I’d like to see more privacy-respecting options. This is a handy feature to have; it’s sad I can’t use it because I have to protect my calendar events. 3. Poor accessibility. I’m a passport user trying to sign up for a class at another gym. I cannot press ANY button on the “Use passport” page. Even when turning on VoiceOver the page is unresponsive and does not locate any buttons on the screen. 4. Lack of system features. As a health and fitness app, I would expect better support for built-in technologies. Kinda silly to force us to use Lionheart when my Apple Watch could better fit my needs. This app does not sync with Apple Health, so if there is an outage or error, you could lose all your fitness tracking data. 5. All three of these app iterations basically look, feel, and act the same. While I enjoy F45 as a class and service, I wish they’d just build their apps in-house and take the time to invest in a product team that is passionate about making mobile apps. Maybe then we would not have to migrate or switch between 3 different apps that are practically the same.
