I’m a huge fan of the regular command and Conquerer type of games. So it was cool to see this game be a bit similar to those types of games. The controls are decent but at times the controls can very difficult to use. Especially when I’m done with using some of my units and then I’ll press on the x to cancel using them. But sometimes they’ll still be assigned to it and then I’ll have to press the x again to cancel them. Also whenever I build multiple barracks, war factory’s, or ore collector buildings in other areas around the map it doesn’t seem like any of the units come out of the new buildings that I made for them. They just keep coming out of the original buildings that I have. And I can’t seem to figure out how to assign them to the new buildings that I made for them to use. It would be nice if we could tap on the building and make it as the new primary building or something. And also whenever I have troops or tanks set up in random places while I’m doing something else the enemy will come by and attack my units, and my units will just sit there and get destroyed rather then defending themselves freely. And the only way that they’ll attack the enemy back is if I assign them myself to attack them. Which is dumb. And then some other thing that is annoying is whenever I save my gameplay, it doesn’t seem like it actually saves it all the time or if it does save it, it’ll be while I’m still in the app menu screen, but once I close the app and play the app some other time, my gameplay save isn't there anymore. But other than those few things, the game is decent.
Love this game as it takes me back to Dune 2000. The replacement storylines and lingo works for me. I'm sure translating the functions over to a touch screen interface isnt simple. Especially since there are more intricate controls while selecting multiple units or specific structures. I wish there was more differentiation, it can get confusing to what you're actually selecting at times. The main issue is when you go to generate soldiers, trikes, buildings, it will auto select unlimited and ultimately drain your resources until you sell the building. If you're quick, it's okay but it's too much once you start getting attacked. Fix the single select and the game isn't too bad for the version
For some reason once I take over the base my harvesters when they return to the refinery don’t add and resources and it stay at 100 unless I spend them. It makes it quite hard to continue the game when I can’t get past a certain level.
