This game is a breath of fresh air. Gorgeous graphics and a legitimately fun and rewarding game to play. My only criticism would again be on the pvp matchmaking system. I'm only a rank 10, but I've only been playing for about a day or so, my advice is to make it so that low level players especially can fight against fellow new players, specifically those at a rank +/- 2 ranks or so, because it's frustrating to have to stop playing for a while due to constant repairs being made to your platoon and the cost of oil when you are essentially forced to attack a base you have little to no chance of beating regardless of your strategy. Perhaps if oil was a reward in pvp as well as it already is in campaign this would promote more pvp and also offer a more rewarding experience for those players who are more active and fighting. I LOVE the instant build times for the bases though. Waiting is very frustrating and gets boring in games like Clash of Clans and other tycoon strategy games, so I'm glad that instant build times are a feature. Just offer oil as a possible reward for pvping and tweak the pvp matchmaker system to give more appropriate matches and this game is sure to stay golden. Fantastic game to be certain.

I was really into this game and after burning several hours I finally came to realize that one is required to burn several more hours just to progress. 50+ battles to gain just enough resources to upgrade one facility. Any attempt on other players is in vain. Higher levels are impossible to compete with. Resources are far too scarce on lower levels. Thus, it became evident the fun of the game is determined by how much you like to repeat the same thing over and over again… and over again with no ability to unlock more combat units unless you upgrade said facilities that also requires the same amount of work just to upgrade your Command Center so that you can continue upgrading storage facilities so that you can consolidate enough resources to accomplish another facility upgrade, and the next, and the next, so you can finally upgrade that one facility required to unlock a new combative unit. If resources were not so scarce and a bit over 50% of the grind was eliminated, I’d be all over this game. However, the repetition has destroyed my desire to play. I open the game and immediately grow bored. “Oh right. That still needs upgraded to upgrade that so I can upgrade that to use the better combat service.” The game hooks you. And then it sublimely asks “How much patience do you really have? None? Well, we’ve got a store just for you.” Good game. Terrible design.

This game is fun for awhile but eventually you will need to spend money to continue to play at the higher levels. The game is full of glitches that they never seem to be able to fix. They release content before it’s ready. If you want to be competitive it costs $400-$800 per month if you want to be a top player. If you want to download it it, play it until it’s going to cost you money then stop. No matter how much you spend it’s never enough. The developers are greedy. And no matter what this developer says. It is not possible to obtain useful units for free. Even if you were to purely grind out and get the units free by the time you got it done and maxed out the unit the unit is no longer relevant. Realistically you still won’t be able to grind it out. You’ll run out of oil before you can achieve your goal. You have to spend the money to get your units quickly and level them up to the max. Otherwise they are basically useless at your level. Especially the higher levels. I never minded putting money into the game. It’s what pays the bills. What I do mind is the amount of value I get out of the money I spend. That value has slowly but surely diminished the longer I played. The only reason I played it for as long as I did was because of the people I met through the game. That does count for something but not enough. FYI Kixeye responds to bad reviews quicker than reported problems with the game. That says a lot about what they as a company care about.
