Less than a week into using this app, and it’s got a bug which shows this weird error message and stops you from logging in. As other reviews have pointed out, the app directs you to the website anyways (which is also glitchy and has security concern - I’m getting emails saying my password has been changed when it hasn’t…. ). The idea for this app - track all the actions for house buying and selling - is a great one, as the time wasting and bureaucracy involved in house buying in the UK is insane. So my two stars are for the great idea. But unless it works, it’s just another idea not implemented properly.
Happily used eWay until solicitor, at my request, changed my correspondence email address then I was kicked out. I believe this is the route cause but the solicitor said they had no useful help from eWay despite chasing. Instead I had to restart with my fresh email, although, strangely half my past stuff was still loaded. Many other docs still missing. Now it doesn’t even show the latest updates and it still redirects you back to the website so what really is its purpose? Nice looking app but not helpful. Shame as I’ve been relying on it for updates. Also, it definitely gets muddled up when prior sale falls through and new one is overlaid.
The reviews from the last couple of years highlight the same issues - it always redirects to safari anyway so why use the app ? The app doesn’t seem to link people - you answer some queries and your conveyancers isn’t aware of your emails even though the email is listed in the events on the app. And currently the app isn’t working at all - I’ve emailed the solicitors about it and not had any reply. The problems with the app aren’t even being addressed so not sure why solicitors continue to bother with it ?
