Evolution Merge - Eat and Grow

I think this game is a really wonderful take on the games that we know everyone is addicted to. And this one is a little bit science-y so it’s perfect for someone who’s a tad on the nerdy side. My biggest grief is the ads BUT I honestly think they are well placed and they aren’t too often nor are they for anything that is like “you need to watch a million ads before you can do this one thing.” It’s more like “here’s an ad after finishing this level, you can also watch one to gain more gold without waiting a bit or replaying the level.” The game also doesnt feel like a pay to win at all since you can play the whole game fairly comfortably without spending any real money. It does get a tiny annoying having to wait for eggs to hatch but also if all that i’m waiting for, it gives me time to take a break, go to the bathroom, get a snack, or even just stop for the day and move on. This game is well designed and i think its very fun. Well done!

Ok, so, the game was decent, but come to think of it, this gets real annoying fast. Way too many ads, and also, the more levels you complete, the less gold you get it seems. The cost for the creatures increases quite a lot. And what do you do when that happens? Get more gold obviously, but there’s a catch. You have to watch SO MANY ADS JUST TO GET YOUR DESIRED AWARD. And also, I wish the skip tickets feature would at least be useful to people that can’t use real money to buy things in games (like me). Like, for example; getting a good chance to get a skip ticket or 3 when opening a chest, or finding skip tickets in the creature gameplay, regardless of which section on creatures you’re in. Why is the only method of getting these tickets… paying? And don’t get me started on the costs. So, overall, decent game, but way too many ads. And could you please make the skip tickets, y’know… more accessible? A NOTE FROM ME: I wrote a review for this game before the skip tickets got added, so this is edited.

I’ve had this game for quite a while now; it may have even been a year at this point. I can understand how some people might be frustrated by the 'choppy' animation and the presence of mobile ads. However, overall, I believe this game is one of the best I’ve picked up. There are no ads aggressively pushed in your face trying to get you to purchase in-game currency. Most of the ads are placed reasonably, such as after a level is cleared or when you choose to watch an ad for rewards. I might be a bit biased because it reminds me of some distant childhood memories, but regardless, if you're looking for a game that offers the charm of simple shapes and animations, this game is likely a good choice.
