Evo Pop

First of all, I saw someone say this game is pay to play, which is what prompted me to post my own review. It really bothered me because that couldn’t be further from the truth. In fact, it’s just a straight up lie. Either that or they are a sore loser. Maybe they don’t have a mind for strategy or don’t understand how the game works, but that’s just absolutely unequivocally wrong. The season pass, if you choose to get it, is very reasonable and not a subscription, but you can easily master the game without it. Especially if you specialize with one particular Evo (Camo is best, esp. with the thing that makes you eat other EVOs faster IMO). The gameplay itself is so fun and addictive. Its kind of like the Worms series in the sense that it’s sort of a sandbox competitive strategy game against the computer. It’s really one of the most unique games on the App Store and keeps you coming back for more. I love the new update and how it gives you’re the islands to navigate. It gives you a visual goal and a sense of progress that was missing previously. I really recommend you do yourself a favor and download this game right now! You won’ regret it. Plus as a bonus- LOVE the menu music.

This is a great game to kill time. Is it rigged? Oh 100%. There are a handful of Evos classes that are actually useful and also overpowered. The balancing issues in this game are huge. At first you fight all the classes but when you get to the end and have unlocked most if not all the classes you’ll see the AI only generates games with the Ghost, Virus or Hovers but every once in awhile you can get Spikes but they are becoming less and less common to go against. I had 5 games in a row where I had to fight the Virus (very OP when fully upgraded) and 3 out of those 5 games they did the predictable thing. One isn’t maxed out and just spams Evos and the other is completely maxed out on upgrades and grows their Evos into gigantic monsters and unless you can get to 300 Evos (one of 3 win conditions) or the top of a mountain quick before the flood comes in it’s a guaranteed loss. Some of these Evo classes are complete garbage so why are they in the game if they’re useless? Pollution for example is pretty much useless because you puff smoke to hide but it’s a 2D play field. The giants are going to slide into you no matter what. Turtle is useful if spam is your style and Balloon and Pudding are a cool alternate play style along with Ferrel but they are almost impossible to play sometimes when Virus can grow 2 sizes in one tap for just 2 ability points. The only thing keeping me motivated to play is maxing out my favorite classes but after that I guess I’ll have to wait until new classes or maps come out.

So i installed this game a few days ago and ive gone through about 25 chests and have unlocked no new evos i have original pudding and bubble which for the players that dont know are all low tier evos every time u look in the store there is a 10 dollar bundle offer for an evo that gives you all the evo points and gold needed to max out the evo just like that i played this game religiously for the past few days thinking oh its just because my accounts fresh and i need to get some tres on the tires before i unlock a new evo and that would be fine if it werent for the fact that all my evos are in mid to high gold (i think i know they are all in gold all three of them) and now i go up against “legendary” class evos that completely Annihilate me either in the first 60 seconds or over a painful amount of time keeping me in what gamers refer to as elo hell i warn any who are looking for a game that they can grind out and get rewards from without paying money dont install this you will be wasting your time on the other hand if you like pouring money into a game to feel accomplished by all means install this game spend the 100 bucks to unlock all the evos and max them out with no effort other than pushing the buy and upgrade buttons (i dont know if its actually 100 it could be more or less i just threw a number for the sake of theatrics) if this game doesnt change its percent chances for new evos out of chest for the “free to play” fanbase than there wont be one except the diehards and that is a dieing breed of gamer no pun intended i wont be uninstalling for two reasons im a die hard gamer and i want to see if the developers actually care about their game enough to listen and correct or if this was just a cash grab thank you and sorry for any and all grammatical errors i would proofread but this isnt for a school project and if the developers dont care about their game than i wont care about my grammar in a review on said game
