This app is so wonderful. My kids are old enough to check up on the bus location each morning, and make sure they are ready to go before the bus arrives out front. As long as the school district does their part and ensures that the route/bus information is up-to-date, this app works flawlessly. Near real-time updates of the bus’s GPS location with time stamps, and an overlay that shows it relative to your house.

UPDATE TO PREVIOUS REVIEW Upon posting my previous rating, I decided to email them and seek help on the issue. They were VERY RESPONSIVE and asked me additional questions, updated me on where they were on troubleshooting and consistently notified me about trying to fix the issue. With the most recent update to the app, I now receive notifications consistently and accurately. I truly appreciate the attentiveness of the developers. If I could make it more reliably notify me in a timely manner it would be wonderful but I also know the bus passes through two dead zones when entering my notification zone so this may be a geographical issue rather than within the developers control. Please continue to improve the app as it provides value. Thanks. Original Review below: Push notifications suddenly stopped working. In reading other reviews it seems to be an issue on the developer end. It’s not helpful if the push notifications do not work. Yes I can see where the bus is within the app but I much preferred it with push notifications.

If I could give this app zero stars I would but unfortunately that isn’t an option. This app has not worked properly or the way their video on their website suggests it should work. Real time tracking to means the location of the bus should update regularly...even if it is at 5min intervals. However, I have seen it stay in one place on the map for over an hour and physically seen the bus drive past my home while the map is stating it’s still in a location from 40 minutes prior. That not real time tracking! Glad I am not being asked to pay for an app that doesn’t work as promised. Yet, I’m sure I am paying (in taxes) for the equipment needed on the busses and whatever other fees may be associated with the district partnering with this particular company. I would love to know what the cost for the district actually is and know where they are finding the money for this, since there are more useful things I can think of that would benefit our district.
