Ecotricity Top-Up App

When I was advised to download the new app, I had difficulty connecting my account to it. Luckily, I spoke with a guy in customer service and he helped me, as I should received two unique codes for my gas and electric which I didn’t receive. I then saw that I couldn’t view the amount on my account to what I’d got in the gas and electric account - I do believe a new update needs to happen to customers can view the balance on their account. Kind regards Neil Terrible app that really need’s updating and bringing into the 21st century…. Don’t go for a cheap company go for a quality one were they know what they are doing…..very basic app…. I Think it still needs work… It would be so so nice and helpful to see the balance of my smart meter on my phone….because I know of a few energy companies that offer this… Please update soon or risk loosing a customer….. Update the app soon please…not all my transactions go through and have to log in around 3 times Not good at all

This stupid and long-winded app has just one job: it allows me to pay on line instead of buying a payment card in a shop. One day - one day - MAYBE - it will accept my payment first attempt; it does occasionally manage it after several goes without my having to phone your call centre. Please could you get it work properly - and explain to me why every app I use that gets an upgrade ends up more complicated and less efficient than it was before?

I don’t know why the last guy thought this was worth even 2 stars and they don’t use it? It’s so bad it doesn’t deserve any stars! UI is so basic, and has less functionality than the previous app but it’s evident in the name and the fact it doesn’t even show up in search results for “Ecotricity”. The app made me create a new account and when I went to pay it would not accept my card, and insisted I must use a bank card. I have used the old app quickly and with ease and it accepted Apple Pay which now I can’t do, and to make matters worse, the letter I received said the old app was closing down which means I must submit to this awful piece of malware. I don’t even know why I’m being penalised for being on a top up meter when I already had it and now to add to my misery of having to constantly top up I can’t even pay using my regular card that I have used for the last few years. Sort this out, you could try and innovate with a new app and add smart meter visuals or something not remove functions and send a pathetic letter saying you must download this amazing new app that is worse than the one that worked fine for the last few years. I’m not even on the energy price caps as Ecotricity is exempt from these rules due to being a “green energy supplier”
