good idea - BIG flaw 😬

Great idea. I got the book and app years ago but never used….. BECAUSE THERE ARE NO TRANSLATIONS. Although many of the illustrations are self-explanatory, many are not. I’ve recently begun making screenshots to navigate through this book. I can write the translations on my screenshot, after I look them up in a dictionary. I write them on a separate layer that I can show or hide when I review the vocabulary, as desired. If the DK designers are really dedicated to the *flawed* philosophy of not providing translations, they could at least provide them as an additional appendix in the back of the book, along with the existing ones. NOTE ABOUT THE FLAWED PHILOSOPHY of “no translations”….. kids need translations, and DO get translations for new words in their native language as they grow up. Think about it. A baby’s first and second word might be “mommy” and “daddy”. But their third word is probably going to be “how?” And next is “why?”. And “what…???” Kids are naturally curious. And those question words will be repeated over and over and over as time goes by. Good parents will provide answers, discussion, context, and understanding as their children learn and grow.

Great app!

This is a great supplement app for the book! I love that my kids can listen to the audio while working in the book. I wouldn’t have bought the book without it. Thank you!
