Desert Worm Idle RPG

I've been playing this for months and got to a point a while ago where I needed a couple more levels to open up the next area... so I had to just grind for exp... for weeks! finally I get level 22 today and it opens up the new area... and its completely empty! the only other gates there are to open require level 25! thats several more weeks of exp grinding! there is one other thing to open but it requires I finish snake quests and the things I need to kill for those quests are behind one of the level 25 gates...I figured out I could travel through the empty unfinished area, behind all the completed portion of the game, and to the mobs I need to kill for the snake quest, and kill them that way... but then I need to travel alllll the way back to turn it in to get the next one and do it again... 5 times! at this point I think "this is ridiculous" and come looking if there is an update. sure enough, there was! Why was there no notification to update the game? who knows! I update and find the mobs for the snake quest are now on the other side of that gate... and the gate now requires level 30 instead of 25. finish the snake quests and now the empty area has e giant bug hive... start exploring that area and quickly run in to a a second connected new area where every time I try to kill a mob it tells me my belly is full...but its empty! so I can't kill them... since when can't I kill things when my belly is full? they don't react to me at all... so at least they aren't killing me either. I also noticed my gear that i have received during my weeks of grinding has been nerfed massively! I had over 1 trillion HP and now its not even 300M! to top all this off there is a new VIP system... spend money get perks... and it doesn't account for money you already spent previously at all! any other slap in the face you'd like to give us dev?

This game is pretty standard for games for like this, ads don’t pop up automatically to interrupt gameplay though which is a major plus for me. My one complaint is no real way to compare the stats of equipment so it’s trial and error to test if you’ve upgraded a more common piece of equipment so that the stat increase is better until you can upgrade a rarer piece.

The game itself is pretty good with a cool tremors inspired setup, but unfortunately has a heavy time lock on enemies respawning. This in turn makes grinding for new gear slow to the point of a crawl and makes you reach a soft cap wall in your play, until enough real world time has passed. Further, this game is in no way an idle game, as you have to manually do everything, no offline progression, and as far as I’ve found, no resource generators. Gear is under powered meaning you have to grind a multitude before noticing any true benefit. The cost of your stats expands exponentially faster than both your stats, enemy respawn, and resource drops can keep up with. If you plan on playing at 5-10 minute increments a day or every few hours, you’ll have no problem. If you you want something that you can truly pass your time with and play for any extended periods, I would highly suggest playing “devour idle slime rpg” by the same developer for a more balanced grind and time sink. Other games that might be good for you are Dragonfist limitless and other various ARPG’s.
