Croatian by Nemo

I am so thankful for this app. I have been in the process of moving to Croatia for 5 and half years now and this app has brought me so much comfort. It’s a great way to learn and replay from time to time to refresh yourself. I would like to shake the hand of the person that first had this idea and made it happen. I appreciate you! Nemo Croatian has been helpful from the moment it downloaded. I grew up knowing some very basic words greetings (I knew all the dirty words). Much of Croatia speaks very good English now, but when I was inland & on the Northern coast it added essential key words that made difficult situations easier. I was even complimented on my pronunciation!!! I’ve only had it a week but I think it’s great!

I used Nemo Croatian for about 3 months before a bike trip to the Croatian Islands. I found it very easy to pick up, but maybe because I had a few years of Russian 40 years ago in college. The languages have many similarities. The reaction from the locals to my Croatian was awesome. I can’t count how many times I was asked if I lived in Croatia! Apparently the accent is quite good. After a while, I was getting into longer conversations of 4-5 responses. It was so much fun and the locals really seemed to enjoy it. If you are going to Croatia, get the Nemo app. It really works!
