This game has many cons and not a lot of pros to playing it. The biggest issue is the fact that this is a game of watching ads more than anything else. You canโt get through it well at all without watching an ad every 2 minutes of gameplay. The glitches are also a huge issue. Every time you get deep into the game, whenever you leave the game and come back in, you start at the lowest level possible. The amount of times I have to sit there and go through each map to get back to the point I was at is such a waste of time. And now, Iโve encountered a new glitch recently where after a few minutes, clicking on anything in the game stops working. And the only way to resolve this issue is to close and re-open the app. The problem: you get kicked to the first map again, aka the issue I previously stated. Then thereโs also the lack of an end goal. The game just repeats. Thereโs no real sense of accomplishment with beating the game. Thereโs also not much depth to the game. This game has huge potential, but in its current state, itโs very disappointing. I wouldnโt recommend playing it if you can avoid it. Thereโs too many issues that just make this game not worth it. Hope this improves in the future. Until then, I wonโt be playing this game.
The game starts out pretty fun. Interesting mechanics that pretty much simplify the kinds of decisions youโd see in a Paradox game and thatโs how you get hooked. You buy land, increase intelligence, and make money in your โcountryโ โ and then the ads start. Ads upon ads really. It has to be one at least every 50 seconds. That is at least until you get to the second phase of the game. You have to battle other โpeopleโ on the game to protect your land, or take theirs. Who wins these battles is determined by the relative difference between the amount of โpeopleโ of each country. There were times when I outweighed the other player by 500k-1 mil, had a >=60% chance of victory (rated by the game), and still would unequivocally lose. The only way to win is by โ you guessed it โ watch ads. They are usually 1 minute long at least, and then sometimes glitches prevent you from even watching them all the way through so you just waste a bunch of time. These ads are clearly a ploy to get you to buy the no ads feature on the game. Now, if this were like 2 bucks like it usually is on these kinds of games you FIND through a popup ad, it would be fine. But the cost is THIRTY (30) dollars โ just to get rid of the ads! The game is fun, but $30 is just ridiculous! Fix this and the game would get a 5 star review. Clearly, many of the others who rate this game are bots, because any human would quit this game after about 15 minutes all things considered.
Honestly when I saw an ad on this game I thought โthereโs no way itโs that funโ but I was so wrong. Tbh itโs actually addicting and makes you think a lot. I love simple games like these and I can see the effort put into this game. Aside from how fun it is, the ads are surprisingly limited. Unlike a lot of games out there that look similar to this that put ads in every single screen, this game gives you the option to see an ad when you chose to get rewarded, or sometimes random but not so often. Like they want you to enjoy the game as much as possible but they also need to get paid, which is something a lot of games lack these days. I donโt write reviews very often but I just took a liking to this game, and I hope someone out there does to :D
