Commands & Setup for Alexa

My echo dot plays my pod casts fine, but music is another matter. It used to play music just fine. For the last few months the music can cut off after only 20 seconds, 2 minutes or after 2 songs. It’s totally random. I can play music on my TV with no issues. It makes no sense. The biggest reason I bought the echo dot was for music. I am totally disappointed and disgusted. I have the echo dot hooked up to much better speakers than the TV has too.

I can ask Alexa the time or the temperature, and she has to had an annoying comment such as, Rise and shine! Or, instead of drinking that 2nd cup of coffee, drink water. This is so annoying when I ask her a simple short question. I have turned the response to brief answer. Did not change anything. Alexa is slow to respond when I ask other questions or turns the wrong light on which are labeled differently. Corner lamp and Office light do not sound anything alike. It seems to being less useable and more annoying.

But before this, it was wonderful I would ask it what the weather was the traffic you know what time it is all that kind of stuff and I loved it when I was hooked up, but I can’t seem to get hooked back up. I don’t know what to do, so can you possibly help me out?
