CBB Simulator is already fireโthe best college basketball sim on mobile. Recruiting, player development, team-building, and dynasties all feel realistic. The game does a great job with attributes, stats, and physical traits affecting outcomes. That said, Iโd love a true stats-driven mode where players could be evaluated mainly by performance rather than visible ratings. Being able to see college player stats in-gameโPPG, RPG, APG, shooting percentages, efficiencyโwould make recruiting and scouting feel next-level. It would also let hidden gems and late bloomers shine. Another awesome addition would be a coaching staff system, letting us hire assistants or specialists to improve recruiting, defense, or player development. That would add depth and strategy. Finally, the recruit limit can be frustratingโallowing bigger classes or more transfers would give players more freedom to build their dream roster. Overall, this game is already amazing. Adding a stats-driven mode, visible college player stats, coaching staff options, and removing the recruit cap would make it the ultimate college basketball sim.
Iโve been playing for the last week and having a great time building my coach from the floor and now at a mid-tier program. Building your roster is fun but it took me a while to figure out that I canโt over-recruit to account for potential transfers or cuts. You can sign up to a 15-player roster (combining expected returning players and recruits) during the season. You can over-recruit through the portal and cut down to 15. I also wondered why I was signing players when I wasnโt first in interest, before eventually realizing those other teams likely had full rosters. Recruiting at a small school is super unpredictable, you never know who youโll sign or if youโll sign anyone. One other thing that needs work is CPU-roster building. There needs to be some sort of โstaying powerโ feature for the blue blood programs/elite conferences. Simming several years leads to extreme parity amongst conferences and diminishes the idea of an upset. In my latest season, two 16 seeds upset 1 seeds (shouldnโt happen twice in one year) but at least one of the 16 seeds is a 90 overall Youngstown State team that went 29-7. So my team, as an 8 seed, is an underdog to the 16 seed in the second round. Fun game overall but could be even better! Hopefully updates will help address some of these things.
This game deserves 5 stars for being the best college basketball simulator game in this app store in the last 5 years. 2 main issues so far that i think are bug related. First, the game doesnโt track steals very well. Almost not at all. I ran a live game and noticed the text doesnโt specify how turnovers are commited at times. Maybe that has something to do with it. The second is a bigger issue, I ran 1 season with Miami so far and iโm 32-0 in my third year. All the P4 teams are the same rating as mid majors by Y3. I was the 68th best team with a 73 overall. Besides that, looking forward to future updates and I hope these issues get fixed very soon. Iโll try one more season but itโs hard for me to want to play if I canโt appreciate the grind one getting to the top 25 from the bottom
