really neat little game! i was struggling a bit with the controls, but that’s likely a “my phone is old and glitchy” thing. (also the game’s initial sensitivity was wayyyy up, but i found how to adjust that pretty quickly). it’s simple, but i can tell that there’s some depth in terms of getting high scores- an example i noticed was that you can bounce the falling items off the edge of your bowl and have them get a multiplier! that’s a really cool mechanic actually! and to echo what another reviewer here said: it just *feels* like the dev is putting the user experience first and monetization second. granted this is something that could easily change in the future- remember to check when good app reviews were posted, sometimes the app store shows off 4+ year old ones- but i wanted to write this review to say i appreciated it.
This game is amazing and I hope it will stay like that. But I do wish for one part it to change which is the how to get to hard mode on a song. It says that you have to perfect the song on normal and if you have played this game then you know that it is very difficult to get a perfect. I have only gotten a perfect on the first section of a song and there are 5 sections. All I am asking for is the developers of this game to update it so that instead of having to get a perfect on normal. You just have to get a 5 star on normal. Thank you if any dev is reading this and taking this down as notes for the next update.
There are certain groups where you need to slam your finger across the screen in order to make it in time(because notes are across the screen). Usually these aren’t back to back, but they can still lead to some unfair plops. What’s annoying to me is that these high-difficulty groups appear even on the easiest difficulties of songs. The game is otherwise an absolute blast and I look forward to perfecting every song.
