I really love this gameโ & I want more! more levels, more incentives, more variations in the Hideout games. There is so much potential for expanding on this game. The gameplay itself is so enjoyable and very tricky at times. I love puzzles and it really gets my gears turning on how to figure out the best strategy. There are tricks Iโve learned and some I havenโt quite figured out yet. Also, I love all of the artwork so much. Really, this game is great, very smartly done. A few small tweaks (e.g. no more triple-taps to open treasures, please) and some additional goals/achievements would breathe new life into this game. Like the inventory of stolen goodsโ it doesnโt appear to get you anything or unlock any achievements (yet?). Iโd like to be able to cash those in to get new tool cards, or win special cards if you get the final high score on a Hideout game, etc. I look forward to future updates! ๐๐
Very fun to play. It appeals to the ever growing subset of people with short attention spans. Too short now to enjoy the games of my youth. I guess you could also chalk it up to the fact that I have a lot less free time than I used to. But even when I do have the time, I find myself unwilling to invest more than a few hours at a time to any one game. To that end, there's no shortage of quick one-off games for me to play, but most are severely lacking in quality and depth. I may not devote the same amount of time to games as I used to, but I still want to be entertained. Card Thief does just that. It's difficult enough to be just the right amount of frustrating which, paradoxically enough, is a quality that keeps me coming back for more. As fun and engaging as this game is, it still leaves a bit to be desired in terms of content. There isn't much of a story behind the character and his motivation is a mystery. The hideout was welcome addition, adding three new challenges to shake up the core gameplay, which does indeed become repetitive towards the end game. Requiring stolen goods from the base game with a time limit to play the hideout challenges does offer some motivation to play through the old castles. Unfortunately, instead of adding new skill cards with new abilities, the only reward offered for playing the new challenges is more stolen goods. This is the reason why I haven't really found myself all that interested in the new content.
This game has some really cool concepts, and the gameplay itself is really fun, but it can get a little repetitive. Though I think the art and animation is spectacular (love the style), I think the game needs al little bit more. My suggestion is that you make it to where you can team up or go against your friends. You could make the arena twice as big, and the goal when youโre working together is the same basic game where you have to escape with the chest, but there is two chests, and if one of you gets caught, you both do. When you are competing with your friend it should be where you are still trying to make it out without being caught, but the player with the most gems/ gold/ coins (I donโt know if they have an official name or not) and there is only one chest, which gives you bonus points. Thank you for your time, I hope you take these suggestions to mind, or maybe even just read this at all (it took 10 minutes). Sincerely, a grateful player, StormCrow
