I recently visited relatives and they happened to mention that they feed their dog Butternut fresh food. They gave my lab a taste and of course he LOVED it!! He is 9, so getting on a bit and has canine arthritis so needs all the help he can get with his diet. I decided to try it for a while to see if it helps as I had researched that fresh is better generally. Firstly the App is brilliant - simple, straightforward and completely personalised. The pouch choice, ordering and delivery was also a breeze - Finn also received free treats and a very cute bandana 🥰. The welcome pack is fantastic, explaining everything you need to know about transitioning to the fresh diet, ingredients, processes, even their free vet nurse service and donations to vulnerable animals. I have started the transition and Finn is absolutely loving it!! I have taken it slow as he is a typical lab with a tendency for runny poo’s, but nearly a week in and he’s a very happy boy. It’s so refreshing to come across a company that makes fantastic products, but doesn’t over egg the marketing or complicate the processes. Simple, straightforward and welcoming. Ooh and Finn says thank you 🥰
I had a 10 year old rescue dog who was starved previously. He is a foodie. I have tried so many different foods and he was on raw when he was in foster having to put on weight. I tried butternut box since January 2022 and will never try anything else. It’s so easy being able to change what he has and it being sent so we never run out! My boy whenever you say do you want some dinner goes crazy! 360 spins, dancing and jumping around- he didn’t do this before. His poos (sorry) are so much easier to pick up and are solid, no more love puffs (farts) and his coat is in great shape. He has so much more energy and enjoys long walks. When he was losing weight (as we did some training walks of 25 miles) butternut box were brilliant and recommended upping his dinner. He now has a small breakfast and dinner- a very happy Boston!! Thank you so much, so glad I found you. When we saw the vet about him losing weight she asked what food does he eat and when I said butternut box she said they’re one of the best and just tell them he needs extra food! Thank you from us both!!
My dog Hugo just wouldn’t touch anything, genuinely I was taking him to the vet freaking out about it. The vet said he’s lost quite a bit of weight so that’s when I put a post on social media asking anyone to give me food ideas, I was thinking of raw until my friend Robyn said she had been going through the same with her dog and she came across butternut box and her dog loves it! So naturally I was like right ok try one box it couldn’t hurt and I’ve nothing to loose at this point. Went into the app, done the questionnaire ( really in depth and tailors along the way) and I got a discount for my first order, it came all pretty in a box, with a snoot hole for your dog to pop his face in to get a sniff. Straight away Hugo’s tail was wagging and he seemed actually interested and they added the cutest little bandana in too, you can actually feel the love/passion this company has for dogs, all the little details say a lot. So I held off till dinner put him a full butternut meal out as he wasn’t eating anything else and he scoffed it…. I was like ok don’t get to excited, it might be a one off because he’s now hungry. Next morning he pranced into the kitchen and waited at my feet put another one down (he never does this)…. Didn’t lift his head for air and it’s been that way for the past month I’m overjoyed! He’s now putting weight on and the food itself I swear to god smells better than my own and you can physically see the ingredients, turmeric, green beans, quality meats, butternut etc massive thumbs up from me. Thank you
