After you log in you get a flicker of the Home Screen and then the app shuts down. I'd read other people have been having the same issue in the recent reviews so I deleted and reinstalled the app. This had no effect. I clicked the "app support" link from the Apple App Store which took me to the Bupa website. I went through the ridiculously long process to get onto the web chat which involves entering your personal details and question then being asked for all those details again by the agent. The agent then asked if I had deleted and reinstalled the app (even though my question clearly stated that I had done this). She then gave me a link to try in a private browser, which didn't work and brought up a message saying "this connection is not private..." She then said she would have to raise the issue with IT and asked for my email address...a third time. What a ridiculous faff. Sort it out Bupa! Ideally without asking me to contact you again as I've already tried that and I'd rather spend my time doing something productive.
Both the Bupa Touch and Be:Me apps are terrible. Paid a lot of money to attend a health consultation, medical staff were amazing however the pre-consultation questionnaire and consultation report are published through the Bupa apps. The medical centre never received the questionnaire despite completing it three times, they also did not receive payment information. Following the consultation I have received multiple emails to say my report is ready but I have never been able to access this as both apps get stuck in an endless ‘loop’. I have phoned the help line multiple times, been on hold for long periods of time, eventually got through and told issue would be sent to tech team, no further communication. Tried to communicate through online ‘chat’, this either doesn’t work at all or I get an error message. I have also tried sending emails but received no response. This is a very poor reflection upon Bupa as a company, the service is sold as a premium, expensive service which is being paid for and accessed by customers who have concerns for their health. The service should be helpful, work and essentially meet expectations for what customers are paying for. If there are medical issues which require further investigation or referral this slows down that process and potty impacts the persons wellbeing. I would not recommend this app and would potentially advise others to seek different healthcare provision as a result.
The App needs to connect to a greater number of data sources. Particularly as it is a late entrant into the health data space and most people are already using other platforms/devices. Also the user interface is not easy or intuitive. If this did not connect to my BUPA health assessment I would not be using the tool at all.
