Bedside Radio: Clock Radio

I have always used a clock radio, but these are becoming harder to find. I wondered if there was an app that would replace these devices. This is it. One can choose to awaken from any one of thousands of radio stations from around the world or from Apple Music playlists that have been downloaded. The interface is elegant and setup is easy. Instructions are clear and support is excellent. It is a bargain at this price.

I wish it had been made clear in advance that the app cannot wake the phone. This means that you have to be sure the phone stays on when you set it down to go to sleep, otherwise you won’t get the radio wake up. This may be a limitation imposed by Apple’s software, but it effectively means that the app is not really useful, at least not to me.

Having looked for years and downloaded several, this is the first capable of replacing a radio alarm clock with the cheap speaker and ridiculously glitchy multiple button punches to reset the alarm ten minutes earlier to beat the morning heat as sunrises sooner, or for a flight, or reset the clock for daylight savings or power outages. This app actually works and is worth paying the price. Synchs perfectly with a small SONY speaker, too.
