This alarm is great at the things it does. I am a sleep addict who turns off or adjusts every alarm I’ve tried. I’ve even tried putting legos on the floor and my alarm across the room to wake me up; I always end up clearing the legos in the middle of the night or adjusting the alarm for more sleep time. Things I love about this app:1) The effective alarm really is! Deep sleepers will get great use out of it. Light sleepers beware this may give you quite the start.2) Allows you to set a playlist of alarm sounds, a text alarm (meaning it reads out your text) or set it to your own music.3) The bedtime reminder and enforcer are great! I love that my phone will remind me to get off of it.4) I’ve found the barcodes to work reliably, and I love that I can use everyday objects as my alarm turn off! I actually glued my barcode to my kitchen sink so that I can’t move the item closer to my bed.5) The alarm lock is a LIFESAVER. I wish more alarms had this! Once turned on, it keeps you from adjusting the alarm in your weaker, sleep-fogged moments. Now for things I’d love improved:1) Alarm auto-on. I chronically forget to set the alarm or lock it, so the option to automatically have it turn on or to remind you to set your alarm would be awesome.2) If this included sleep sounds, it would totally be a one stop app! That’s it! You’ll notice the list of loves is a lot longer than the list of wishes. 😀 Enjoy!
This app IHOP’s so many amazing features and has just about changed my life. I have ADHD and struggle to stay on track, break focus, and remember things. This app helps with all of it! I can set up alarms in different rooms to keep me on track with my routine, I can set one to make sure I don’t lose track of time by setting one to scan in another room, and I even use it to help me remember to do things (I can actually get laundry done in 1 day because I can set an alarm to scan the detergent bottle). There are abundant uses. I love the “don’t wake my spouse” feature because it is a snooze button, but for only 10 seconds so you have to go scan the set barcode. I also love that there is a “lock alarm” feature so that I can’t get lazy (especially in the mornings) and turn off an alarm I have to do. The only issue, and it is kind of a big one for me, is that there is often a delay when I’m trying to scan the barcode and the alarm continues to ring. I had to delete the app for while because of it since it got to the point where it was disturbing the people I live with, even though I was trying to scan the barcode to turn it off. Overall though, great app.
This app has changed my life. I have gotten up when I plan to every time I have used this alarm for the past year! Not only this, but you can use it to schedule the rest of your day. I printed out some of barcodes (there are free generators online) and put them around the house. I use it to get me in and out of the shower (I now have consistent 10min efficient showers). I use it to get to the car to go places. I use it to get up to my room for bed instead of sitting watching TV. It has helped me reorganize my life and defeat the temptation of sitting around. Many use cases if you are creative enough to find them, though it also takes a little creativity to implement the app well. Especially for the mid-day alarms, it is easy to turn it off with plan B to turn off the alarm. I have found it helpful to charge myself money if I use plan B when it is not needed. The app also randomly crashes during the day, but if you check your phone consistent enough, you can start it back up. I have found this to be an inconvenience but not a huge problem. It is only about 1/10 times that the alarm doesn’t go off, and that’s mostly for the bedtime alarm I set (has gone off every morning I can remember). It still vibrates and can get your attention despite this. I am not a big fan of having my alarm in my room (big temptation for distraction during the night) so I charge it somewhere else in the house and use a two alarm system. My first alarm goes off 30sec before the barcode alarm forcing me to get up right away and turn off the barcode alarm or else annoy everyone else in the house as it beeps constantly. This forces me to run to two places each morning. Hasn’t failed in waking me up. It is also helpful since I do my shower right after and if I am not out in time, it will beep again. Solid app, the few technical problems it has does not compare to lifestyle change it has given me. Thanks to everyone who made the app!
