Bacon's Revenge

I like this game, don’t get me wrong but it’s missing a few core mechanics of this type of game that would really set it apart from the rest. The first being that it’s almost impossible to progress without watching ads. Now I don’t mind ads but it’s gotten to the point where one good run might have me watch almost 10 ads. (It costs an ad to get any decent sized backpack tile which is literally how you progress a stage and become stronger at all) And I wouldn’t feel bad paying for it to be ad free, but it seems almost impossible to play the game without spending more time watching ads. This game is a bit rough around the edges which is why I’m probably talking to no one but hopefully someone thinks to ADD A LOCK ITEM FEATURE FOR BASIC GAMEPLAY (pay 5 silver coins to keep an item in rotation, it would make the game much easier but less rng on wether or not you win). Adding this would make the gameplay loop even more addictive because you can strategize your merges a lot easier. Also I don’t know if it’s because I’m in the US but everything has a like .1 second delay that’s super annoying. This game really could do something with a little bit of care from the devs. I personally have had a blast playing it and would invest even more if a few frustrations were removed.

This game is very enjoyable, it’s perfect for when you have downtime and just want to sit and play a game for a bit. However, the progression system is blocked by a paywall. Progression is possible without spending money but it takes countless hours and sometimes multiple days just to pass one level. If you were to purchase gems or any of their overpriced offers you could get through around 20 levels in a single day. Not to mention, they have a “weapon prayer” which is used to get cards for your weapons to level them up. You are given 3 items in which you can spend 100 coins (obtainable by playing the game) and have a “random” chance at getting any one of those 3 weapons. If you don’t like the weapon you landed on they allow you to spend about a dollar worth of gems to get another 1 of those weapons. And then if you still don’t get the weapon you want, you can spend about 5 dollars worth of gems to guarantee yourself that last weapon. This part of the game is undoubtedly absolutely 100% rigged. Every single time there is a rare item in the weapon prayer I try two times and never get the rare item. Even though the chance to get any item from the spin is “the same.” You will never once get that rare item from doing the weapon prayer unless you spend a crazy amount of gems for it. It’s so obviously broken and it’s so clear they just want you to buy gems to get that specific item. I have now reached a point in the game where I need those weapons to progress. However after 30-40 tries at the weapon prayer, I haven’t been able to get the rare weapon once thus causing me to be stuck on a mission. It baffles me how greedy this company is. Anyway the game is fun def recommend if you don’t care about this. Also to note, gems can be obtained without spending money but the amount you get is very low at a time.

It’s a great game, super fun, but it’s hard to progress without paying money to get max everything instantly. I also just want to say that the latest app icon is just a straight rip off of Battle Cats, it’s the exact same except for the logo in the middle is different. The red background, the stars, the black outline of the logo, all of it is a complete copy of the Battle Cats app icon. I don’t have a problem with it, just thought it was weird and want to know why?
