Very easy to setup. The first time I have ever used a fast charger for my car as I only normally use the charger at home or at work but a recent trip I found I would need to stop at Warwick services so I downloaded this app to use the Applegreen chargers before I arrived there. The process of plugging in and getting started was super simple and approved through the app and the charger was running at 90 Kw so only had to sit having a cuppa for half an hour which gave me more than enough to finish my trip. I will definitely aim to use Applegreen chargers in the future when I need to.
Downloaded ok. When through process to set up a new account. Firstly it didn’t have my car listed so I had to pick a wrong one. The Q6 has been out for over a year so clearly not kept up to date. No option to use apple pay. So I tried to enter credit card details but failed at authorisation stage (test payment of £1). Apple green app kept giving me an error even though my credit card app successfully authorised the transaction. I ended up just paying with contactless which is I assume more expensive. After authorising I discovered I could have done Charge And Go using Audi app so at least that’s something.
Having to download yet another charging app when all you want to do with a top up your car and then dealing with this abomination. Where do I even start, awful UI, awful UX, the app locks up when moving between screens. Signing up is just the worst, it loses data when moving back and forwards. It doesn’t autofill credit card details which means that if you don’t have card with you, you have jumped through hoops to fill that in. To top it off, it doesn’t support ApplePay. One positive is that the charging point itself was brilliant, it was fast and efficient. I gave up with the app ended up just paying with contactless even though it meant taking 5% hit, I just charged enough to get home.
