I don’t usually write reviews, but this app is so good that I think more people should know about it and make use of it. This app is hitting all the right targets, the probability score, scientific name and common name, the identification history log, the options to use camera & gallery photos and etc. This is genuinely the best app for NZ floral & fauna recognition. 15/5 stars!!
Great it works offline which makes it really useful in the field. Reasonably accurate with plants and birds. It would be good to have links to the species or ability to copy the text so I can paste it into google. Also maybe an ability to confirm that the prediction is correct.
Just downloaded and tested out with a range of images I already had on my phone. A mix of known species and those I hadn’t looked up yet. All resulted in a suggested identification, and without digging too deep all were correct or seemed accurate. Photos had a range of backgrounds and quality of lighting etc and even the less clear images returned quick results. This is a fantastic, promising tool and I look forward to testing further! Great to see a positive and useful application of AI technology.
