They can do better for sure. Paying for leads that someone else got the job on is outrageous for one. Paying for old leads that a customer has already got the work started and or already done is outrageous. Paying for leads that you can’t get in contact with a after multiple times and days. Is outrageous, home advisor/Angie can do better an I know it. Can you ask for a credit on these no answer or wrong contact information leads? Yes but only 2-3 a month. As of January 1st 2024 to February 9th 2024 I’ve gotten about 15 leads and out of that 15 leads I’ve only been able to talk to maybe 6. The others are no pick up or hang up when I call. But I still have to pay $40 per lead. Just think, if you do fence work that $88-$160 a leads 5 leads come in and you get non of them your are out $500-$1000 in one day, you don’t pay that money to angle in 2 weeks they shut your account down. ANGIE DO BETTER!!!!!!! Now, I will say when a potential client does pick up an you do land a job for the most part that job will cover the $300+ you owe to Angie lead’s plus put a little extra in your pocket and that the only reason I give them a 3 Star because I do make some money but not enough to grow your business. And sadly there’s no other company that send leads like this other than thumbtack and they are not any better.. Just make sure you think it through before you start with Angie, it can be a blessing and a curse.

I don’t understand why you people are complaining about a service where they are totally upfront about everything. The people that are leaving ignorant reviews are people that’s haven’t applied yourself. I go online and look at my competitors all the time. You guys don’t build your profile or have any reviews!!! How can customers believe your a legitimate business? Angi is a matchmaking company for homeowners/ business to contractors “service professionals” which a lot of you guys trying to get into business. They connect us in real time with people needing a home services. So it’s up to you to call them back and connect with the customer. They get are expecting our call so call the request back when you receive it. The process is so simple if you apply yourself to understand the value of their services. Unfortunately this generation wants everything for free but to be in business it costs to be the boss. If anyone needs any help I would love to help in any way I can. So remember Angi isn’t your boss. You set your pace in what they send you. Your in full control over everything!!! So educate yourself on the value of their services which I have done and I love it!!!! Angi has drastically changed my life connecting my company with individuals that are simply looking to get home services. Thanks Angi. Hopefully my review helps future home services professionals able to get with Angi. Believe me it works if you apply yourself.

I love the way there mobile app is set up, eliminates a lot or writing for me. I’ve got everything at my fingertips, name, address, etc. I love the way you can pause your leads when busy, and then resume when not. I agree with the other reviews, when you get a lead, you need to respond, not 4-5 hours later, but as quickly as you possibly can. This works well for me. And yes I get leads, where customers just don’t answer there phone, I have no problem getting refunded my cost for that lead, but just remember, you only get a few a month, what I’ve seen that number is around 4 per month. My experience with home advisor has been very positive, I read these reviews, looked a you tube reviews, before I joined. But I also talked with friends in my industry, and got there input. Believe me, if you don’t stay on top of your lead flow, you can run up a bill, I normally get good leads, that work out for me. Went on 9 home advisor leads, just a week ago, of the 9 I landed 6 jobs, I don’t think that’s bad, 3 I knew within 5 minutes, where price shopping, but that’s comes with being self employed. I also like the way there billing works, once a week on Friday home advisor debits my account this works great for me, the bills doesn’t get so big, where you are overwhelmed, when it debit from your account. Also another thing I like about home advisor is setting your coverage area, myself it’s much easier, to estimate jobs that are 15 minutes away, as to ones that Im driving 45 minutes, work the customer a quote up, then 45 minutes back. So get your coverage area set up, where it works for you.
