It’s difficult to earn coins on this game and the way you can easily waste them, I won’t spend money buying any additional ones. There have been multiple complaints about the continuation option in the game being easily hit accidentally yet, they do nothing to try to improve player experience by asking you to confirm the purchase prior to continuing the clock. They don’t care about customer satisfaction, they just want to make money. They make the boards impossible to beat without tools that cost coins and make it incredibly easy to spend them accidentally. However, when you DON’T choose to continue, they ask you 10 times if you want to continue. It’s pretty convenient they can work in a safeguard when you don’t spend your coins but, can’t when you accidentally do, huh? I’ve reached out to them several times and they have never once tried to compensate me and they just say “we’re addressing it.” It takes over a year to put in a prompt to ensure you want to continue? No. They have no intent to fix the problem.
Hi. Hello. I love the core gameplay of this game, the specific “shift pieces around to get each pieces to their specific exit” is something you don’t tend to see a ton of. If you could add an untimed mode with extra-hard levels that I could spend a ton of time letting my brain chew on, that would be awesome, as the timer and subsequent “candy-crushification” is this game’s biggest weakness, in my eyes. Also, please add an option to turn off the “Adventurer’s bonus” or whatever it’s called. I want to beat every level legitimately without using boosters, and a booster that makes the level easier that deploys upon start-up is incredibly annoying. I’ve been resetting the level - loosing a life each time - to avoid using this booster, which effectively halves my playtime each session. Please. I’m here for a brain game, not a quick dopamine hit. I get more satisfaction when I complete a level legitimately than when I cheat it, and I just want the opportunity to complete every level on my own without any help. Anyways, excellent base gameplay, I would love it if you released a separate game mode and/or entirely new application that removes the gacha and candy-crush slop and focuses exclusively on the logic-puzzle elements of this game, because beneath the layer of micro-transaction and gambling-pop-up nightmare is a truly fun and innovative gameplay experience.
I’ve been playing both gecko out and Leon out another gecko game. I too found that at some level the time allowed to beat a game was impossibly short. It could often take 15 tries or more and options were to wait for more lives (5 lives can go pretty quickly on some levels!), pay for more time or purchase more lives. I’ve reached level 686 but at some point I got tired of the frustration. Looking for a similar option I found Leon Out. A very similar game. Some differences. The geckos can be a bit wonky when maneuvering them in Leon Out. On the upside if you start a geckos towards the right hole it will go in automatically. Leon out is not as complex as Gecko Out. Not as many variations such as the buckets at side of Gecko Out etc. it basically rises to about the third or 4th level. Eg multiple colors on one gecko or hole, chains to unlock, tiles of a color you need to cross, wooden blocks in the way (no washing off of muddy geckos to reveal color tho it does have the white ones that ultimately reveal its color). Overall Leon Out is similar. I went ahead and paid to remove the ads and it was worth it. It’s more leisurely, generally enough time, seems to be more generous with coins. You can still take multiple tries to solve but it’s much more doable. I also do t think they have the same number of levels. I played to about 200 or so then it went to a board of 1 infinity,2infinity etc. some of the boards look the same but since I don’t always remember exactly what I did to solve it the first time it’s still a bit of a challenge. In short I can play Leon Out for well over an hour with 5 lives. There is a timer but not so unreasonable as gecko out.
