AI Song Generator - Musicful

I’m loving Musicful, I spent a lot of money having someone else do my songs for me. But Musicful has allowed me to do them myself at a great price. It’s letting me bring my lyrics to life. I’m receiving many compliments on how great the music, vocals and quality of my songs. Thanks a million!!!

I’ve been writing and recording songs for many years, but I wanted to see how far AI has come as a songwriting helper. It has come a VERY long way, and with the v2.0 model, it is often amazing and sometimes seems brilliant on melodies, arrangements, and vocal nuances. It seems to recognize when parts should be more emotional or softer, often sounding like a skilled human vocalist. It does often require tuning the prompts and 2 or 3 generations to get something I like, but it usually gets there. I am mostly using my own lyrics, sometimes with suggestions from Copilot, and it’s fun for me to use lyrics from old songs I never quite liked or finished and see what Musicful does with them. It is often very different, sometimes weird and sometimes very fresh, “why didn’t I try that myself?” There are some strange UI things that cause me to use the website version, like where can I view my public profile in the app? But the website is an easy workaround. All in all, I am very impressed and pleased with Musicful and happy that I signed up for a long subscription with thousands of credits. I don’t care if it doesn’t hit the mark the first time or even at all on some songs, but overall it is great.

You pay for credits to generate songs based on parameters you set and lyrics you either supply or have written for you. I would say one out of every forty generations creates something worthy while the rest sound nothing like what you wanted (i.e. you put in Country as a genre and it comes back as Rap). In reality, I paid for 5000 credits and after all was said and done, two of the songs that were generated I kept. The rest were trash. To make things worse, their new 1.5 model not only has poorer music quality but misses the target far more than the 1.0 model. Bottom line: poor audio quality, songs generated are rarely even remotely a representation of what you wanted, and the AI vocals mispronounces and/or skips words from lyrics whenever it feels like it. There are better options out there. Don’t waste tour money or your time. And as an aside, their website falsely advertises review scores and the like. Not trustworthy at all. Makes me wonder if they’re stealing your lyrics…
