The app was great when I first downloaded it about a year ago, but recent updates seem to have introduced several issues. Features that previously worked—like viewing OBD codes—are no longer accessible. Additionally, the app crashes whenever I try to use the “View Summary” button. Hoping these problems get addressed soon.
Unfortunately, every new update from Adesa makes the service worse and causes more trouble for users and dealers. It feels like the developers are intentionally making our lives harder. Whoever designed the mobile version clearly has no idea what wholesale car sales are and has probably never worked with a normal website, because most of the tools and functions available on the regular web version are simply missing in the mobile one. For example, if you’re buying a car on the regular site but suddenly need to switch to the mobile version, none of your data carries over — your lists disappear, and many essential features are gone. Since Adesa launched this new version, I personally stopped buying cars on Adesa. I used to buy exclusively through the mobile app because it was convenient, simple, and accessible. Now it’s completely the opposite — inconvenient and unusable. So I’m switching to work with Manheim instead. If Adesa ever starts thinking about making things easier for its clients and dealers — rather than harder — and begins developing features for dealers instead of against them, maybe I’ll come back. But for now, I’m not interested.
They have made the app significantly more difficult to navigate, used to be able to find what you’d like, now they constantly shove cars down your throat that you don’t want. If you finally figure out the menu and narrow it down to cars you want to see, it crashes every time and that’s just looking at cars, forget bidding on them. Once bidding gets to the last 20 to 30 minutes or so, it slows to an absolute crawl, can’t bid, get alerted you’ve been outbid 20 minutes after the auction has ended. Adesa Clear was a good platform, now the CR’s are complete trash that don’t even represent the cars and if you are able to to see the condition it crashes at the moment you want to bid or you’ve been outbid and it doesn’t let you know. Not sure how they took something that was decent and ruined it completely, but this will likely be the downfall of Carvana, just like the retail cars they sell, not worth the attempt at all.
