The app mostly works, but is hard to figure out how to set up. Sure your rep can help you the first time, but after that I don’t find intuitive (and I work in tech so I’m fairly tech-savvy). It’s just a lot of clicking here and there and this other place until you find what you want to adjust. And I’d say generally reliable because while it works as intended 90% of the time, recently half my programming randomly disappeared and I had to reprogram it. I reached out to tech support but never got a response. That was super annoying and made the poor interface all the more apparent.
Prior to the last update (ver 1.0.9), I really had no problems at all with using the 3 Day Blind App on my iPhone 14. However, since installing that update, I have had a running problem with the App crashing shortly after opening, with VERY rare exception - perhaps only able to use it twice to adjust a blind successfully. I am unable to Report a Problem with the App via the Apple App Store, nor could I find a way to report an App problem on the 3 Day Blind website. So, I sent an email about the continuing App problem to 3 Day Blind Customer Support, but their response was a bit canned and referred me back to the Motorization App webpage Tutorials and FAQs which are not relevant to an actual problem with the App. I had built some control scenes for adjusting blinds during warmer months, but I turn them off when it gets colder and only make manual blind adjustments with a remote or the App. Since installing App ver 1.0.9 I have installed two iOS updates which hasn’t fixed the App crashes, and as a last ditch effort this morning, I deleted the 3 Day Blind App from my phone and reinstalled it from the Apple App Store to no avail - it still crashes shortly after displaying the App page.
I just had Motorized Roller Shades installed at my house by 3 Day Blinds and I have to say I’m so Impressed with how incredible the Quality and Functionality of these shades are…the Hub is super small and links with this app! My installer set it up for me and showed me how to use it and I have to say it’s beyond amazing! I am setting timers to help me and my daughter wake up in the morning as light wakes her right up! I was able to set the shades that are on my front windows to raise/drop to always keep the appearance that I am home…the Design Consultant said I could raise/lower my shades from any where in the world with a data connection of any kind which blows my mind! I’m in awww and I will never go back to manual shades. Alexa also works with this so being able to tell Alexa to raise and lower my shades when I want is a huge plus! I can not believe technology has advanced this far! Your missing out if you do not get the hub piece which allows this app to connect to your shades! My dad has this as well and absolutely loves the app as well!
