If you follow the exercises, it does as promised

Update: nothing I said below has changed, but if you haven’t updated your app in 2 years, you have NO business charging a recurring subscription. Period. The concept of software as a service is just that - a service. You released an app that is complete. So charge a price and be done with it. Knocked down three stars, this BS has to stop, it’s every app now. This app works. Plain and simple. I started only being able to do 3 pushups (I know, embarrassing). In two weeks, I did 40. It breaks them into manageable chunks per session, so it almost tricks you into doing more than you realize. Another great thing is the free version has NO ads until after the workout, at which point you can just shut it off anyway. What a breath of fresh air. It has reminders to get started and timers during the workout for breaks in between sets (default about a minute). I haven’t tried the pro version, but if it is just more of this, I don’t see what not to like. Simple, not cluttered, an app that delivers exactly what it promises with no B.S. That is a RARE find in a mobile App Store.

Excellent build up training - not user friendly

The training program is extremely effective and catered to your exact ability. In 6 weeks I was able to increase my pushups from 30 (with no time limit) to 50 (under a minute time limit). That’s huge improvement! My biggest complaint is that there is no easy way to reset or start the initial test over in case you take a break from it for several weeks due to injury or whatever. I had to delete the entire app in order to clear the old data, but then all your old statistics are wiped which is annoying. Also if you have premium and access to the plank exercise it’s annoying that during your rest it counts down to when you plank, but you have to manually push start to enable to plank timer. I wish it would just go automatically so you can be in position when it starts, not fumbling around to push start and quickly get into a plank. There is already an option to pause or add more rest time so there’s no need to manually force the next plank timer to start. Otherwise the app is a great!

Nice app. Opens and tracks. It’s my go to push-up app

I’ve tried multiple push-up apps over the years. What I like about this one: It doesn’t ask for money after progressing in the app for 1 to 2 weeks like many others. It tracks in a single graph the total push-ups. It shows the date of the last workout if you forget. I try to do this every other day. It opens fast and shows how many pushups are needed for set 1 in one tap. I do the set and click completed, it starts the timer which changes depending on the day, for the next set. I like the pace, although I was stuck on Week 3, day 1 for about 5 sessions. I was always short 4-5 on set 4. But the app allows you to change how many you actually did per set and it automatically won’t progress. The next day is a repeat, which is exactly what I want it to do. Many other apps will just move to the next, which is obviously impossible if I can I can’t completely a day. Thank you for making this app. I don’t mind the ad that plays after the workout because you should be paid for you work. I think a great app like this since it’s a very simple app. It basically shows sets and tracks. It should be free. I hate apps that track sit-ups and push-ups and won’t allow their app to be used unless I pay per month on a subscription. 3.99 a month for telling me to do 13, 14, 16, 14, 9+ push-ups? This is obviously not worth a subscription because the app is too simple. But if it tracks well I’ll open it everyday or every other day and an add will play. That’s going to generate a lot of money as users grow.
