There is an ad at the bottom of the screen 📺 & Ads after every level. If you answer the phone 📱, receive a text, check your signal, or internet connection another ad (not short ads but long ads close to a minute). If the app is idle for a couple of seconds another ad, not short ads but ads that last up to 60 seconds. Another problem is that you can’t ‘x’ out of the ad, the ad will go to either the App Store or to the website pertaining to the ad. Ads during game play also come up, an ad came up while selecting a word. Also the app becomes non responsive & have to close out of the app. No way to close out if the ad doesn’t play. The daily games are now broken down into five smaller games. With an ad before the game and after each level in the game, just another way to play more ads. Also if you mistakenly touch the ad at the bottom of the screen, the app will go to the page of the ad & when you press “done” another ad appears and you have to wait for the ad to finish before returning to the game. The view videos for points is placed too close to the ads located at the bottom of the screen & is just another way to force you to view more ads. Don’t like the new daily games, takes too long to complete the game. This app went from a good app to basically just a app full of ads, the ads are longer than the actual game.
I really enjoy this game. I even suggested to my sister and she is enjoying it as well. I have some confusion on people complaining about having to shuffle. I think I have only used that option a couple of times. Why? You may be asking (or not) it is because I use the other choice of restarting that particular level. I already know some or most of the words, so by restarting I can now do them in a different order to find the word that I missed that made the puzzle not work right the first time. It really doesn’t take that much longer. Also, the ads...well some of them...can be skipped after a few seconds, as there is a double “arrow” or ff symbol >> in either the upper right or left corner when you tap on the ad, touch that symbol and it takes you to the end of the ad. Thanks for this fun game! Loves word games
Wonderful exceptional brain powered game; however, beginning to agree w/review regarding to ads.... I enjoy them - they gives a lil break into the game and intro to new games as design to do but way too long. Although ads servers it’s purpose but it also create boredom because the interest is lost while waiting especially if it’s a game that’s downloaded. In which I often switch to another game-but it’s 2-3 weeks/ months before I play Word Town. A repeated cycle eventually it may come to deleting a wonderful game. It’s intensified then you need to shuffle w/ little coins therefore you watch an ad instead that seems like eternity because the excitement of completing the board now stress is created- that defeat the purpose of relaxing and feeding the brain. Suggestion; shorten the ads and/or increase more ways to earn coins. 120 a pop goes fast when u excited and don’t won’t the wait. Uncertain w/this game offer buying ads free but the ads frustration prompts purchase- but too many similar games to download opposing to purchase nevertheless a wonderful game.
