The Transit On-Request App consumes a significant amount of mobile battery power every time the app is used
Great Service for those if us that need it.
Use the website version on your phone instead, if you must use this transit service! Or, better yet, just phone! With the transit overhaul coming soon, I went to check this app and was utterly appalled by the privacy list on the App Store. The fact that this is an externally contracted app makes it much worse. Needless to say I have no intention of using it and will warn everyone else off it too. Update: I looked further into the privacy policy and read the developer’s privacy policy and I’m even more appalled. Either the developer is incredibly sloppy and are copy-pasting the privacy notes from other apps, or they’re actively leaving open the possibility to use your personal data for advertising purposes when you are USING A PUBLIC TRANSIT SERVICE. For shame. For absolute shame.
