Vistara - India's Best Airline

UI/UX is poor and everything redirects to the website without loading in-app. Literally all other airlines have in-app flows, not sure why Vistara has not managed to achieve this despite charging premium fares. The method to retrieve current/booked trips is so tedious, and it’s not stored within the app. No other airline app operates like this - all of them provide trip details within the app with easy retrieval. This is not the case with Vistara. Have the product teams not observed in-app flows of Indigo? You can’t just focus on in-flight experience and ignore everything else! The process to redeem CV points after flying with partner airlines is the worst, despite the airline promising a “seamless” experience. The reality is far from it. It’s literally not possible in-app, and support teams take forever to respond to email queries. Even if you give your CV ID while booking a flight on a partner airline, the points will not credit automatically as far as I’ve seen. You’d rather just use the website than this app, everything redirects there anyway and takes forever to load. Even login details are not stored properly, it’s not a seamless process to login either, even if you ask that your details be remembered.

I usually do not write reviews. However I really feel this needs to be brought to light. The airline service is such a blessing to the Indian aviation industry with world class comfort service. Usually one would expect the same to be on the technological side where a passenger can easily access and do tasks through their dedicated app to schedule services or do a checkin. However upon using this app I solemnly swear that the App shows no class and is miles apart from the refinement the airline shows. Where competitors have focused on providing the most convenient implementation of reachability through an app to the airline, here we see a huge down in this app implementation. The app query’s information by redirecting to the website of the airline rather than implementing framework that can make this app polished and refined and much more user friendly. Whoever is part of your UI/UX design team has shown a very poor execution and if this is not corrected in a long run the image of a well established business will eventually get tarnished. Managers or stakeholders, take out time and view other airline apps that are far better than what this app can accomplish. This is humble review in contributing to your success as strong tycoon. I hope 2022 will be a great start to implement this

Having travelled with them more than a dozen times in the past year, it’s surprising that they’re yet to incorporate (wallet payments like paytm and the others in their app). And because of that I’ve had to log on to their website to make my bookings (which is difficult on a smartphone). Also I’d like to see details of my complimentary vouchers in the app. Now that they’ve VistaraWorld in the app, it’d be a good idea to include my history, what to watch during my next flight, make a list of my favourites (films, TV series, music, etc.).
