Rented a car from the airport to the hotel the day before cruising out of Port Canaveral. Cheap tolls using this toll pass, but you cannot return these toll tags to offsite rental car agencies. You must “end” the trip segment for the current toll pass so others who rent the same vehicle will not generate toll charges to your credit card (license plates are read at tolls). Returned the vehicle to an offsite rental car agency but keep the tag until returning from the cruise. You cannot reuse the pass once you “end” your trip in the app. The FAQs state the toll pass must be returned in three days or you will get charged $10. Tried to call the company before leaving for the cruise, but went to voicemail. Their voicemail states they are closed even though I called during the hours their website states they’re open. I attempted several times but no answer. I also sent an email which has not been responded to in seven days. Customer service lacking.
While the concept of this is great and much appreciated, in truth how it works is somewhat confusing the first time. I had to call their customer service reps four times and got four different answers. Very frustrating. They don’t all seem to be trained with the same answers. They later added rules that weren’t mentioned at first (I ended up charged $10 for the pass since I didn’t return it in 3 days, though the rep told me I could do it in 5 days with no charge). And the box where you print out your initial hanging pass is not easy to find in the Orlando airport. I figured I ended up saving a total of only $5, and wasted a lot of extra time, but if you are renting a car at MCO and need to use toll roads daily it could save you up to $100 a week.
Was looking for a viable option back in February 2024 to drive around Florida. Was ready to pay for the car rental toll pass, glad I didn’t! My car rental never went through, while stuck at Orlando Airport I saw the signage to sign up for this pass. I downloaded app from App Store and went and got my pass. A gentleman was there to help and that he did! It cost me an initial $10 to start the pass. I attached the licensee plate in the app just in case. Put the placard on mirror and off I went. Well, drove to Jacksonville and back to Orlando airport. Returned my rental car, dropped off placed in specialized box, took my flight back home. About 3 weeks later, maybe 4, my credit card reflected a credit in the amount of $7. Was ready to pay minimum $10 plus per day for the rental agency toll charge. That would have cost me and extra $30 which the car rental would have pocketed. To my surprise it cost me $3 for a whole three days! Highly recommend using this option if you can!
