So much potential...

So much potential, but not there yet. I love the concept of creating my own tour, but until the ability to EASILY add sites that are not on their preloaded lists (current method not intuitive at all) and the ability to easily bring up a map on a mobile device that shows the path we have chosen are added, it can only be used as an additional reference, not on its own. My dream would be an app that turns my own custom walking tour into a Rick Steves type walking tour. Rick Steves has the walking tour concept down pat. To the developers, keep working on this - you have a good thing going and you are part way there. Even a more visible note telling folks they can add anything they wish if they know the address would be a big help. For instance, I changed our hotel to the cruise port by entering the cruise port address into the hotel address but I had to figure that out on my own. Nothing told me it was an option.

Completely worthless for all but the biggest cities

Noticed right away that the overall score was unusually high. Downloaded it hoping to find a better app for planning my upcoming Wilmington trip. City guide contained literally nothing but paid services, probably the kind that they get a referral kickback from or something. Paid tours, transfer services, and...escape rooms? Who wants to travel to another city to do an escape room? Apparently they think lots of people do, because they rank it as the #1 thing to do there. Doesn’t even mention the obvious attractions like the USS North Carolina, the Cape Fear Museum, or historical houses that other travel apps know about. Checked another city to see of it was any better and it was not. No app more obscure than Waze has a score this high unless it has fewer than 10 reviews or is cheating. Plus a lot of the reviews seem similar. I hope Apple catches on to this. Deleting. EDIT: I had a thought and looked into it again. It actually looks pretty decent for the biggest major cities and *only* for the biggest major cities. In those cases, it’s an entirely different app. For this reason I’m bumping my review up to two stars. It’s still the dumpster fire described above for cities smaller than 1 million people. The app description promises guides written by experts for thousands of cities This is a lie. Like I said, even medium-sized cities like Raleigh, NC will get nothing but tours and transfer services, many for cities and areas a few hundred miles away.

Best travel planning app

Wow just wow! So happy I found this app while reading up on a blog as I was planning my trip to Spain. We planned on spending our 9 days in between Madrid , Barcelona , Montserrat and Ibiza . This app is genius! It gave me options to choose from depending on what kind of day I would like ( top attractions, easy going or hectic ) . I chose with the top attractions because our trip was a short one in each city and wanted to make sure we saw the top attractions. The app allows you to choose your start time for each day, to enter times you would like to take rest breaks , it gives you the attractions basic info and attraction location hours ( it will even tell you if your itinerary has conflicting times where attractions may not be open) This app will then, plan your day and organize it in the order where it makes sense and it’s based on attractions that are close together in proximity. This app literally took off hours of planning and researching and did all of the work for me . To the developers : thank you. You guys are amazing ! I will recommend this app to any and everyone I know!
