A shocking change occurred about September 2024, that risks embarrassment. Taking both AirPods out of ear used to stop play; you could then adjust volume on the playing device’s speakers before restarting play to those. But now audio switches to the device’s main speakers instantly! And you can’t pre-adjust the volume - it may have last been set to very loud, and will instantly play at that volume! So, to avoid embarrassment in the office, shop, cinema, or theatre that you’ve just walked into, you now MUST remember to stop play before removing your AirPods. If you forget … embarrassment and nuisance results. Why this change? (It’s still not as bad as the RTÉ Radio Player app - even adjusting just one of your AirPods in your ear stops that player, and you normally have to listen to an extra ad before you can resume playing.)
What’s with all the 1 star reviews?? Eg. My wife was watching some rubbish on the telly and I just popped on the champions league, headphones on, on my mobile. I get to watch the match AND block out the muck spewing from the big screen. In my experience the app is reliable, very user friendly, great for recording stuff ur never going watch when out of the house and all in all I was surprised at its quality.
This app is so unreliable it’s hardly Worley has using. If you think you can watch your paid subscription on your connected devices, then prepare to be disappointed 50% of the time. Between ‘Service unavailable at this time’ to spinning wheels, I’m about to give up on this service. Every time I get an issue with this app I check to see how Netflix is doing, and it works every time. Virgin, be more like Netflix please!! The most frustrating thing is that I use it to catch the end of shows in bed that I was watching on my main TV. Why would I do that, so I can snooze to sleep real quick. This app forces me back to my front room to to do. That’s hardly cutting edge!! If there was a zero star option I would have given it, this doesn’t even deserve the 1 star I was forced to give it.
**Important** This app is optimised for iPad & iPhone running iOS 13.0 or above. The app does not stream on jailbroken devices. Virgin TV Anywhere t...
