Usage - Device Monitor

I used to use this app everyday…religiously. Excited for full MacOS 26 compatibility, but for now…I’m uninstalling the application. It’s broken and providing inaccurate information (even the beta version). Goodbye for now. ***Update*** While I can appreciate the snarky response and sensitivity about your work, my issue began before the beta. Not only was the problem unrelated to the OS version…it had everything to do with the applications “helper”. Inaccurate meaning: Your app says both fans are off, when I can hear them. Inaccurate meaning: the temperature reports 130˚F, always. It hadn’t worked since the last update. Either way…I found workaround for my issue. Don’t take the feedback so personally. It wasn’t to attack you or anyone else for that matter. It’s feedback and factual.

Has lots of free features, and a sleek UI that matches that of apple themselves. I particularly love having the menu bar stats, because as a software developer I like to know exactly to what extent I’m killing my computer at any given time, and flipping windows with activity monitor is not the best user experience. It has a lot of stuff paywalled, but even the free package is very complete and helpful. I haven’t bought the pro package but I will soon, because it’s the only app paywall I’ve ever seen where it’s actually reasonably priced, and I can’t say no to $25 for a lifetime subscription. (I might even get the iOS inclusion for only an extra $10, because it’s simply too reasonable not to grab as well) I would like to maybe request having the availability of the power adapter wattage stat in the menu bar though. I rotate between a few chargers that I use and I would like to be able to see the wattage that I’m charging at from my menu bar.

As a former Windows user, I have always been baffled as to why Macs don’t have drive LEDs on their systems. I have older software that places a virtual LED light in the menubar (which I like a lot) However, it is older software and is apt to be retired at some point. Therefore, I would appreciate one in Usage. I realize I could use Activity Monitor to check disk activity, that is a very clumsy method. Having a drive LED on the menubar is a much more convenient way to check drive status at a glance. Also I would like the option to set colors for the individual items Usage sets in the menubar based on thresholds (for example green/yellow/red to notate normal/caution/critical conditions) or plain white for all conditions (as they are now) based on user preferences. As examples, if CPU temperature or usage, memory usage and/or free disk space pass certain thresholds, set the color based on them. As for the disk LED if you chose to add one, I wold like it to be green when the drives are idle and red when they are in use. And, finally, perhaps the option for use one LED for all drives or individual LEDS for each drive via user choice.
