Update :10/11 after countless attempts to complete the application I finally was able to submit an application, but the application is now stuck “in revision “ status and it says a review has requested additional information, check your email. But there is no email. And support is horrible they don’t respond. So basically doesn’t accomplish anything. It might be faster to send power of attorney to someone at hime and open account for you. Very Disappointed! The app has a great intention but falls short in execution. It frequently freezes, and after multiple attempts to complete a bank account application, I had to give up. The development team needs to collect user feedback, fix bugs, and improve overall stability to make this app usable.
Tried the app from the US but it works only with +251 phone numbers which I don’t have. Can this be addressed as this is meant for the diasporas? Tnx
I always desired to have both the policy and the capability to operate in the financial sector in Ethiopia, especially banking. Wow, Ethiopia is finally delivering both of these! So my rating of this app is a response not only to the app but also to the new policy - I see them as a package. I would have rated it 5 but I could not create my account because the sign up form has an Ethiopian phone number as a required field. That is a blocker and I usually rate this type of blunder very seriously. I was lenient because, as I said earlier, I see this app as an app and an embodiment of the new financial policy, i.e., as a package.
