After 52 years of faithful service, my clock radio finally died. After I was unable to find a reasonable replacement, I started tapping the screen of my charging iPhone in the overnight hours to see what time it was. I ran across this app while searching for something to constantly display the time on my iPhone during the overnight hours, while it was charging. Using a charging stand that holds the phone at about a 60° angle all I have to do each night is start this app, turn down the screen brightness to minimum and place the phone on its charging stand. I have been using this app for about 2 years and have found it to be the perfect replacement for my defunct old clock radio.

Super simple just like it's advertised . The one thing I would like is for it to be completely full screen ... that way the white bar at the bottom of the screen used to switch apps would be hidden.

After my trusty weathered old school James Bond style Nixie tube clock app passed over to “no more updates land!” I sought its new app reincarnation, but to no luck so far... Yet, this app is really nice. Not a James Bond golden dotted tick tick tick Nixie tube timer/clock with several cool modes, but this clock is hauntingly divergent from your contemporary beigeblah wallymart plastic box nightstand clock bluegreen neon/misty glow LEDs. In the dark this clock seems mechanico-demonic with its ever burning coal digits in a distant other worldly darkness. 4⭐️s only because it’s not the same as my old app.
