At the very least, I would expect to be able to connect my ODP reader and get some basic information about my vehicle without having to use a subscription. I’d be happy to pay for a subscription if it does what I need and I can verify that beforehand. However, despite the app saying a subscription is just to “unlock all the features” it will not even connect without push, pushing me through a subscription sign-up. This could be a great app, I don’t know, because because I can’t even verify that it works before paying for it.
Own a 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee and the ODBLink MX+ and purchased the 12 month annual subscription and done all the troubleshooting you can think of unhook the Bluetooth from the phone and reset it on the phone uninstall the app reinstall the app. An no matter what connection type I pick it doesn’t. Don’t know what else to do besides request a refund and try another company.
I purchased a 1 week subscription for this app to gain full access in order to check fuel pressure and battery health on a vehicle I was buying. The Dongle that I have is WiFi and the app gives the option for WiFi connectivity. I use an iOS device that has been updated and current. I could not get the app to maintain a stable connection. It did not allow me to set WiFi as a default method of connection, in fact, the app would shut down immediately as it was looking like it would connect to the ECU. The app was completely useless to me.
