TOR Browser: OrNET Onion + VPN

I wouldn’t recommend using this app unless you have to, and if you do specifically typing in a site url is much safer than simply hitting the search bar. The app doesn’t filter out certain content, including sites in Russian which are all bad. It will also include other search engines, all of which you should ABSOLUTELY stay away from. That is where the real dark stuff happens. You can always report bad things, but why do I get the feeling that puts said user at risk. I have already done so however so I guess only time will tell. It also doesn’t feel very secure, almost gimmicky (the other reviews don’t help defend it). I find it difficult for a mobile device to have the same precautions that a pc could have. Like a strong antivirus, with multiple features to prevent unwanted sites and protect you from mistakes. Considering how easy it is to stumble on illegal activities, that seems like a massive security risk.

I’m not sure if this is due to just more people using Tor now than ever before or what, because it just seems like now everything takes much longer than it did even just a year or two ago when going to/doing the exact same things as before even though everywhere now has much faster internet speeds as well as the hardware and specs on computers and devices are also much better then they were just a year prior so I really don’t get why the things that I have been doing on here for about 3-4 years at this point just seems as if the time it takes to do those thing are going in the opposite direction and now takes significantly more time than it did a year or two ago. I know that instead of connecting directly to the destination server, a connection is made between each relay of the circuit and this takes more time, however since I’ve been doing the same thing for several years now at this point, however it unfortunately seems to be taking drastically more and more time now than it ever did before. But that’s honestly crazy because you would think that it would actually be the complete opposite due to everything technologically vastly improving from one day to the next, but especially when you look at where everything is at now versus even just a single year ago, so with everything improving I’m simply just stumped on how and why everything would be taking longer than ever before with Tor when it should also be improving like everything else associated with technology.

I’ve downloaded several TOR browsers and free VPN apps, and by far this combined all-in-one service by OrNET is the best I’ve found. It works for both mobile and desktops. It’s definitely the fastest one I’ve used. The only issue is that you can’t select a specific server location for VPN (I prefer to use ones outside my home country) unless you use the paid service. I had the paid service for a while previously but let it expire as I wasn’t browsing as much for a while, but I need to set it up again. It was worth it. In the browser settings menu, right at the there is a prominent and easy toggle off/on button for Java Script when you need to disable that for Security (very intuitive design). Overall it’s a great Onion browser to browse the DWeb.
