It’s idle in the fact that you plant crops and come back to them later, but there are some problems with the game. My plot of land is level 5 (halfway to level 6) and the screen will not widen/zoom out so there are spaces that I’ve unlocked that I cannot plant in. Also, besides the basket upgrade, it doesn’t seem that any of the upgrades do anything at all other than serve as a money sink. Lastly, a bulk buy option would be nice. When buying crops, if I don’t mash the “buy” button fast enough, my input glitches through the “buy” menu entirely and acts as if I’m trying to plant crops. A few fixes (and some meaningful upgrades) and you’ve got something.
