The app allows you to easily find time sensitive info like which resort areas and lifts are open, their hours that day, etc. You can even set it up to push notifications to your phone, which is very handy for things that change moment to moment, like parking availability. My top 2 suggestions for improvement: 1) the “Announcement” AKA the handwritten description of mountain conditions that day, is one of the most important things to know IMO, and it is hidden several clicks deep in the app. Additionally, the text formatting appears to be messed up, compared to the same report on the website. 2) The notifications tab (with the bell) contains very helpful updates like “Alpental lot is now full”, which is great, BUT these updates don’t have timestamps, so if you happen to see them, say 2 hours after they are posted, you have no way of knowing how relevant they still are. Timestamps would be a vital addition here. Keep up the good work Summit team!
Please make this app more useable with out an account. You can’t even delete messages without logging in. Not everyone wants an account. Update: made an account and still can’t delete notifications/messages. I’m not sure why I need to send an email and take on more work so that the app allows people to delete notifications. Seems like you should just be able to make it so people can open app and delete notifications/messages. You don’t need more info to do this.
Ive been skiing at snoqualmie pass for the past couple years and I have ran into so many problems with runs not being open. With this app, i get updates on what lifts and runs are open! I also have access to trail maps and the ski patrol phone number which is very helpful. I definitely recommend this app!
