THE SEXLESS TRIBE

What’s better than abstinence? A community full of people that are on the same journey. I cannot begin to describe how encouraged I’ve felt to meet people from all walks of life exercising self-control in that way. I’ve been encouraged as a virgin myself to also meet people who are older than me and still with their V-card. I literally gave myself a time that I would just abandon all and then I found my tribe. Also, shoutout to Shakia for talking about taboo topics I’ve never had a space to discuss them in. I mean we hold each other accountable!

A day or two after a broken engagement; I received a friend request on Instagram from “The Sexless tribe.” I was shocked, yet honored based on the accuracy. My engagement was called off because on my lack of participation in premarital sex, on top of other contributing factors. This crushed me immensely. However, fast forward to today, this organization has restored my confidence & identity in Christ like never before. Thank you, Sexless tribe for welcoming me into the family. The best is yet to come.

I joined TST back in February (I believe) of this year and it has been a true blessing to be apart of the tribe since then. I never met other people who were either virgins like myself or were actively practicing abstinence and/or celibacy and I don’t feel alone anymore. The people in this tribe are so welcoming and we definitely have deep discussions and help uplift/ motivate one another to remain focused on being abstinent. This journey was never meant to be easy but surrounding yourself with other people (no matter age, race, gender, etc.), you feel a sense of accountability, reassurance, no judgement, positivity, love, and so much more. People will pray for you when you need it and that’s such a good feeling. You can be yourself and be vulnerable with people you never met before and they welcome you and all you have with open arms. To meet other believers in Christ who proudly practice abstinence is such a rewarding feeling. It definitely feels like Christ is amongst us! Thank you Shakia for making “The Sexless Tribe”. I would have never known that there are people out here who are abstinent (and not just me alone in this world) without this community❤️🙌🏽
