Have been a reader for decades. Syracuse Post-Standard when owned by Rodger’s Family, published a fair and and newsworthy paper. Journalists as David Case and Sean Kirst wrote excellent articles, there was an editorial staff that held corrupt government officials accountable. Since Washington Post acquisition all of this has changed to a far left sided content, with majority of printed material from WAPO journalists, and other left sided media, with an agenda far from honest and fair. The editorial staff rarely appear, and fail terribly to hold Politicians accountable. Example are the editorials about the CORRUPT AND ABUSIVE CUOMO administration, as well as a CONGRESS, EDITORIALS I believe tepid and weak in tone at best. A newspaper that fails its readers in honesty, integrity and quality.
I hate the new format . The print is not larger , you still have to enlarge the page , Then sometimes you are opening an article you didn’t intend to read , If you forget to scroll down you miss that content , It used to tell you how many pages there were , not sure when you are at the end , And the obituary columns are annoying . They should be alphabetized straight down the columns, right to left . You keep calling me to go all digital , I still get Sunday paper . I enjoy the puzzle pages , so maybe you could make them interactive somehow ,
I like reading the paper this way in part because I don’t have to turn pages to read the rest of an article and it is more dependable than home delivery. I do however, have a problem with the editing. The format gets a bit strange sometimes and there are an amazing number of spelling errors or word errors that auto correct does not catch.
