When you need a compressor for live keyboards and synths, you don’t need something that looks like an 1176 and sounds like garbage. You need a clean, digital compressor to control and shape dynamics. This compressor is easy on DSP, has a great visualizer, is flexible, and can handle tracks from pumping to just kissing the threshold with a RANGE setting! Be aware that, yes, look-ahead will cause latency… because it HAS TO IN ORDER TO WORK. So, don’t use that feature live. Auto-Gain feels a little more heavy handed, but is a nice addition and can be bypassed with a click. I use it live almost like a limiter, very fast attack and release, to tame peaks that squeak through on a highly distorted Leslie. Also, like all ToneBooster’s products… THE PRICE!! Checkout some of the competition online for Windows and Mac; your wallet will thank you! Support this developer if you can, so they can keep updating these fantastic apps and offering them on all the platforms!

The only compressor you need. Flexible, powerful, low on CPU and sounds great. Total bargain.
