This is a great program for recording podcasts, but there are some audio issues with IOS/IpadOS 17 that need to be addressed. I recently recorded a podcast with 3 mics, one phone connected via Bluetooth and the sound pads on the mixcast 4. The episode as about an 1 hour and 30 minutes recorded directly onto an iPad 10th gen on IpadOS 17. When editing, not all of the tracks would play when listening back to the episode. I was able to transfer the audio files to another computer and they could play back there, but this is not ideal and does defeat the ability to both record, edit, and publish with the Tascam podcast editor.
I have been using Tascam products for years, from my early days in radio broadcasting, to now, Podcasting. There are 3 products that stand out for content creators, now there is 4. When I heard Tascam was going to be offering a product for Podcasting, I was excited to see what they came up with. After watching some reviews and how surprised creators were with the product, I knew Tascam had hit it out of the park. When I saw the price along with the functions, I could not wait to pick one up. I would like to say how surprised I am with how great the product is, but i am not surprised one bit. Tascam has been a trusted name for professionals for many years. They have taken this product serious and have, what I believe to have made the best solution on the market. Respectfully, Gene
This is a very nicely designed program that has the potential to be an indispensable part of an iPad-based mobile recording studio, but unfortunately it is basically useless at this point as you can’t import external files, only ones created in the app or that come from a TASCAM device, at least as far as I can tell. Too bad, as it looks to be a great app otherwise!
