ETA: the main gameplay, the thing I liked most about this app, stops completely when you get to the end of World V. No further gameplay except for limited-time special events which are not open every day and have limited energy for gameplay, after which you have to watch ads or wait for energy to refill. Downgrading to one star. I discovered this game through Parking Jam and loved that it’s a very low-attention game I could just go with the flow on. When I had gone through all the gameplay Parking Jam allowed, I discovered they had a stand-alone app. I bought it and happily paid the $2.99 to keep it ad-free. Here’s my problem. The prompts to remind you you can watch an ad to get boosts occur MUCH too frequently, and disrupt the flow of the game. You have to manually dismiss these pop-ups and it is constantly pulling you out of the relaxing flow which made me fall in love with the game in the first place. I do watch an ad occasionally because the boosts can be strategically useful. But there are times I just want to take my time, do it myself, and fall into a rhythm, and having to tell the game constantly that I don’t want to watch an ad is as annoying as the pop-up ads I paid to get rid of. What’s more, as far as I can find, there is no way to get these reminders to go away. It destroys the very thing I was playing the game for in the first place. If it weren’t for this one gripe, it’d be a five-star game for me. As the game stands now, every time a reminder pops up it makes me less likely to continue to play and WAY less likely to want to watch an ad. Developers, please fix this and make your game perfect.

It’s a solid game as far as mergers go, and the visuals are nice. The lack of a time based or waiting mechanic is awesome too! The only big issue I have is the constant pages showing up trying to get me to watch ads, even after paying to get the normal ads removed. Every time you level up a building, ad. Randomly after tapping something, ad. There’s chests that spawn from crates that take up space and you have to watch an ad to turn into something useful or wait like 2 minutes to despawn. Almost every time there isn’t one already in your crate bar a purple crate that takes an ad to remove shows up and brings you down to 5 usable slots. At this point I just sorta think of myself having 5 slots instead of 6 because of that crate being there constantly. There should be an option to get rid of those, especially for people who paid to get rid of ads. Edit: originally a 4 star review, dropped to 2 after I started getting banner ads even after paying to remove ads. The restore purchases button didnt get rid of them either. Also when you merge things up you sometimes will have YET ANOTHER thing clogging your space spawn that takes ANOTHER ad to remove.

I love merging games. I’ve only been playing this game for a few days, but I find it really simple and fun. If you’re looking for a time killer this definitely is recommended. There really isn’t any reason to spend money on it other than for the ad remover which is only $3. I usually don’t buy the ad removers unless I have been playing the game for a long time, but I got it on the first day this time because I knew I’d play for a while and there are a lot of ads. I only have one complaint for the game though: when I accidentally tap the ad chest where you get stuff, it says I have no connection. I’m connected to the wifi and it works for everything else so I’m not sure why this happens. I don’t watch the ads for the chests anyways, but if this is happening to anyone else it might be a problem.
