Takealot - Mobile Shopping App

I’m not here to review the app as much as Takealot service. The app works fine and is easy to use and keeps track of orders and returns. So much for the app. It is in service delivery where Takealot is top in the market of online shopping. I started slowly, not being one to trust easily, and have now come to the point where I am reluctant to use anyone else. This kind of trust was earned by this company’s excellent business model and prompt and reliable service. I sincerely hope that they will never slack off as has happened to many previously successful businesses in SA, but keep on improving in little ways.

I have used take a lot on and off for a number of years. This changed during lock down. Now my go to place for shopping is not a mall but a web site. While takealot does not have everything it comes pretty close. Then if this was not good enough their delivery is faultless. I get a clear idea of how long it’s going to take to get my purchase. I then get a message stating what day it’s going to arrive (usually a day or two beforehand) and then it arrives promptly. Often I get a call from the driver to say he/she is close to my home. And that’s not all - I don’t send stuff back often but when I have this process has been easy and clear - they will even collect from your home.

Online shopping I would give a 5 stars. So far it’s been an amazing experience with takealot. Unfortunately only once the delivery man from Takealot was extremely agressive. He didn’t called me in advance to inform the time he is coming. So he did canceled delivery . But takealot fixed the issues and eventually delivered my orders.
